ABOUT
The Public Good is a strategy and management consulting practice that applies business principles and creative approaches towards the development of non-profit and public sector organizations. We work with Executive Directors, boards and senior leadership in providing strategic planning, business process improvement, budget and financial management and human capital development solutions that are tailored to meet each client’s needs.
We are committed to providing value to clients that increase social returns.

To offer flexible staffing and contracting arrangements that meet our clients’ goals at competitive price points.
PEOPLE & RESOURCES
DOING BUSINESS
The Public Good offers flexibility in contracting arrangements. Initial conversations will help us determine which type of arrangement makes the most sense, given the client’s requirements, constraints and needs.
The Public Good is proud to be certified as a Women-owned Business Enterprise by New York City Department of Small Business Services
Prime contract
Client contracts with us directly. Fees are mutually agreed upon upfront and can either be fixed or based on an hourly rate.
Sub contract
We perform work as part of a larger team and are subcontracted to a prime contractor. Our expertise and flexibility allow us to team with other highly qualified consultants and firms who may be looking for additional capacity.
Third-party sponsor
We are occasionally awarded contracts through sponsoring organizations (such as Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, NYC Administration for Children’s Services) who do all the legwork to find and vet qualified consultants to provide services on behalf of the smaller non-profit organizations that they support. These are generally multi-year contracts paid for by the sponsoring organization. As needs are identified by the smaller organization in need of advice or technical assistance, The Public Good may be available immediately to provide those services.
